JOHN CORABI Forced To Cancel Benefit Concert Appearance

September 23, 2009

Former MÖTLEY CRÜE lead singer John Corabi has been forced to cancel his previously announced October 2 headlining appearance at a benefit concert for a Burlington, Iowa girl with cerebral palsy. His webmaster has issued the following statement on the matter:

"John would like to send an apology out to fans and those organizing the benefit show in Iowa. Due to a pre-existing date conflict, he will not be able to appear at the show. Rescheduling inquiries have been made, and we are waiting to see what can be worked out. These events are very close to John's heart, and he is upset that he cannot be there. Hopefully something will be worked out for a later date."

Organizers were hoping to raise $8,100 for an overhead track system in the Mark and Kim Edwards home.

The track was supposed to relieve the burden of having to physically lift the Edwards' 14-year-old daughter, Brooke, to place her in a wheelchair, so she can move her about the house.
